Ingredients Needed for This Tea Foot Soak Recipe
This recipe makes enough for four foot soaks.
- 2 Cups Epsom Salt– Epsom salt is made of magnesium and sulfate, and many praise its potential ability to soothe skin, reduce soreness, reduce stress, and promote foot health. (Source)
- Essential Oils- There are many essential oils known for promoting relaxation and supporting healthy skin. (See below for some great options to use in this recipe). I matched the essential oils I used to the ingredients in the tea. If you are unsure where to buy essential oils, check outthis postto help you find a brand that works bestfor you.
- 2 Bags of Tea- Depending on which tea you choose to use, there are a variety of beneficial properties. For example, black tea is said to be good for those with sweaty, stinky feet. I went with Good Earth Sweet & Spicy simply because I love the smell.

Because I was adding essential oil to match the ingredients in my tea, I used 3 drops Lemongrass, 3 drops Cinnamon Bark, 2 drops Peppermint, 1 drop Ginger, and 3 drops Orange. (Had I had Chamomile, I would have added that as well.)
Here are some other essential oils that are great for supporting foot health.

Common Homemade Foot Soak Questions
Will A Homemade Foot Soak Remove Dead Skin from Feet?
A foot soak, on its own, will not remove dead skin from your feet. However, foot soaks can soften dead skin making it easier to remove. If you want to remove dead skin from your feet, soak your feet in the homemade foot soak for 15 minutes and dry them off with a clean towel. Then use a foot file to exfoliate and remove dead skin from feet. To keep feet moisturized, apply our homemade body butter.
Is There A Foot Soak Recipe Without Epsom Salt?
Yes! If you prefer not to use Epsom salt, there are other foot soak recipes you can try. The most common is a vinegar foot soak. Simply mix 1 part vinegar with 2 parts warm water (white vinegar or apple cider vinegar are both fine to use). You can also add in a few drops of essential oils for added benefits. (See above for some of the best essential oils to use in a foot soak.) Because vinegar contains antimicrobial properties, it is great for foot odor. (Source)
